Jamaica Plain Jane No More / by Faith Michaels

This beautiful brick home hidden away in Jamaica Plain has everything going for it. Perched on a hill and tucked away on a secluded street it is owned by a couple who have lovingly restored the inside. Their fondest wish was to create an outdoor area that connected the front yard to a deck and firepit in the new backyard space.

Architect Bruce Miller designed asymmetrical pathways that lead to the new back stairs and upper and lower decking. Carpenter Mike Souza installed a carefree Brazilian hardwood that will last for years. We repurposed an existing back wall to serve as a wood storage area for the new firepit. Stonemason Francis Andrade added great touches of bluestone on the steps and lower pathway. Nice place to spend an evening!

Thanks as always to my Faithful Flowers Team and of course, to our fab clients who entrusted us with their project.
